Description
The College of Education and Human Development is seeking to hire an Educator-In-Residence Senior Advisor for Research and Analytics.
Examples of Duties
The Educator-in-Residence (EIR) Program Evaluator will provide strategic analytic insight grounded in rigorous quantitative research and methodology to the Mississippi Department of Education Chief Academic Office on the EIR Early Childhood Program.
Responsibilities include:
Design quantitative and mixed-methods studies using quasi-experimental, longitudinal, and observational designs to investigate program effectiveness and policy-relevant questions.
Partner with program offices to develop analytic strategies and methodologies that support systematic study of the EIR Early Childhood Education Coaches program.
Design measurement instruments, observation protocols, and scoring frameworks to support the systematic collection and analysis of data.
Develop and apply statistical models, including multivariate and regression methods, to investigate factors associated with program implementation, educational outcomes, and system-level trends.
Translate complex statistical analysis into clear, actionable findings for agency leadership, program staff, school administrators, and other stakeholders.
Provide consultation and training to program offices, as well as, methodological leadership and technical oversight, for E analytic and research activities.
Typical Qualifications
Doctoral degree in educational research, psychology, statistics, public policy, or a closely related field with advanced training in quantitative research methods.
Demonstrated expertise in research design and statistical analysis, including multivariate and regression methods applied to large administrative or programmatic datasets.
Experience designing and implementing quantitative or mixed-methods studies, including quasi-experimental or longitudinal research designs.
Knowledge of measurement and psychometrics, including development or evaluation of instruments used to measure educational practices, program implementation, or student outcomes.
Understanding of educational, research, policy contexts, and the interpretation of administrative and assessment data used I in education systems.
Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for policy leaders, program staff, and other education stakeholders.
