    Job Description

    The Med Surg Nurse Educator is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff within the hospital. This role supports clinical excellence by promoting evidence-based practice, enhancing staff competencies, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies. The Nurse Educator collaborates with clinical leaders, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to identify learning needs, develop training materials, and deliver orientation programs, continuing education, and skill-based instruction. They play a key role in onboarding new nurses, mentoring staff, and supporting career development initiatives. Additionally, the Nurse Educator monitors clinical performance trends, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and ensures that staff remain current with best practices, new technologies, and patient care standards. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential, along with a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and patient safety. Masters of Science in Nursing or matriculated into a program within 6 months; Current license within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse; Five years of medical/surgical experience, Nursing Educator exp preferred
