Develops and implements educational programs and activities that promote the professional development and competency maintenance of clinical and support staff. Conducts needs assessments, identifies learning needs and provides programs that will improve staff’s knowledge base. Participates in and assists nurses in the research process. Reviews and updates patient/family educational material.
Department Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Covers nursing orientation of RNs, new grads, CNAs, coordinates School of Nursing schedules, coordinates BLS/CPR training, teaches BLS/CPR, covers unit-specific education on 2A/3C.
Covers unit specific education of RNs and CNAs in ER, Telemetry and ICU; coordinates new product education programs; teaches BLS/CPR; back up to orientation.
Covers unit specific education of RNs and scrub techs in OR and for C/S in L&D; creates education programs for pre/post op care throughout hospital; teaches BLS/CPR; back up to orientation.
Where a professional license or certification is required, the candidate must maintain the applicable license or certification throughout employment and comply with applicable renewal and reporting requirements.
Humboldt Park Health may verify applicable professional licenses, certifications, education, employment history, and other credentials as permitted or required by applicable law and organizational policy.
Pay Range: $105,000 – $125,000 per year
The pay range represents the budgeted compensation range for this position. Final offers may vary based on job-related factors, including qualifications, education, experience, skill set, internal equity, applicable policies, and other factors permitted by law.
