EEG Technician Certified - Neurodiagnostics

Position Summary

Nationally Certified EEG Technician performs comprehensive neurodiagnostic testing, including routine and advanced EEG procedures, ensuring high-quality data collection to assist neurologists in diagnosing neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, ambulatory, and continuous video EEG monitoring in accordance with national standards.

  • Conduct additional neurodiagnostic procedures such as evoked potentials and nerve conduction studies as applicable.

  • Ensure patient safety and comfort, providing clear explanations of procedures.

  • Obtain and document relevant medical history and clinical information.

  • Recognize and document clinically significant EEG abnormalities.

  • Collaborate closely with neurologists, clinical staff, and intraoperative teams.

  • Maintain equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure proper calibration.

  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

  • Assist in the management of database and report storage including striping procedures.

  • Responsible for emergence on-calls as scheduled and per hospital policy.

Work Schedule: 80 Hours Biweekly. Full Time.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in neurodiagnostics preferred.

  • National EEG certification (R.EEG.T.) through ABRET.

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Minimum 1 year of EEG or neurodiagnostic experience preferred.
