Responsibilities

EEG Technologist - Remote Monitoring & On-Site Support

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EEG Technologist to join our team. This role involves real-time remote monitoring of EEG, EMU, LTM, and sEEG studies (up to 4 concurrent studies), as well as occasional on-site responsibilities such as patient unhooking at the conclusion of EEG studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remotely monitor EEG, EMU, LTM, and sEEG studies in real-time.
  • Perform routine EEG procedures across various modalities.
  • Unhook patients at the conclusion of EEG studies as needed.
  • Accurately recognize and differentiate normal and abnormal EEG patterns across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
  • Document patient seizure semiology with precision.
  • Maintain professional communication with patients and medical staff.
  • Operate and troubleshoot EEG equipment and other major systems (Cadwell, Nihon Kohden, Xltek, etc.).
  • Work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma (GED) or higher
  • A minimum of 1-year experience in the field
  • Must be ABRET board-certified R.EEGT (CLTM preferred)
  • Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology as it relates to EEG
  • Must have a secure HIPAA compliant workspace that is free from unauthorized viewing
  • Must have a reliable internet connection and backup
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts
  • Must be able to operate, store, and maintain EEG equipment as necessary
  • Must maintain an appropriate supply inventory sufficient to conduct multiple EEG setups if necessary
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to move and lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, and stoop as needed
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to type at least 45 words per minute for the purposes of data entry

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

  1. Receives general direction from Director, EEG Operations.

LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, OR PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION:

  1. Certification by ABRET REEGT or CLTM required.

  2. Must hold a valid driver's license.

  3. Minimum of high school diploma or GED.

  4. Must maintain current AHA CPR certification
