Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled EFDA Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their visits. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Perform medical imaging as required, ensuring accurate positioning and quality of images.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Take and record vital signs of patients prior to procedures.
Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene practices.
Manage patient records and assist with scheduling appointments as needed.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards within the dental practice.
Qualifications
Proven experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is essential.
Familiarity with infection control practices in a clinical setting.
Experience with medical imaging techniques is advantageous.
Strong understanding of various dental systems and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
