Customer Service RepresentativeBishopville, SCJOB SUMMARYThe Customer Service Representative acts as a liaison between manufacturing operations and the customer to ensure accurate order processing, communication, and delivery coordination. This role supports daily customer service activities, maintains critical system data, and works closely with production, shipping, and internal teams to support customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This position reports to the Operations Manager.DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Receive, review, and process customer orders accurately and in a timely mannerMaintain customer, order, shipment, and system recordsCoordinate shipments and communicate with internal teams and external carriersCompile, maintain, and distribute reports and documentationCreate billing documentation including packing slips and related recordsSend and receive electronic customer data and EDI transactions as neededAssist with customer, item, and system setup within established processesMaintain accurate data within the company ERP/MRP systemCommunicate professionally with customers, production teams, shipping personnel, and managementSupport customer issue resolution and follow through on open itemsMaintain manufacturing supply inventory levels and create purchase orders as neededParticipate in monthly and year-end physical inventoriesMaintain and build relationships with suppliers and vendorsMaintain organized records, documentation, and work areasSupport backup customer service and administrative functions as assignedFollow company safety policies and perform duties in a safe mannerPerform other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma required; Associate degree in business management or accounting preferred
Two or more years of customer service, manufacturing office, purchasing, or inventory management experience preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain professionalism and strong working relationships with customers and team membersStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsTyping proficiency and accurate data entry skillsBasic computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP/MRP systemsBasic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionAbility to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
