Key Responsibilities:- Assisting in implementing and monitoring company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Maintaining safety equipment inventory, performing periodic safety inspections, monitoring hazardous waste removal vendors, and assisting in consolidating hazardous wastes (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical).
- Interacting with a variety of departments, conducting training in emergency response and hazardous material handling.
- Monitoring environmental compliance and maintaining liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Recommending corrective actions where environmental health and safety hazards exist.
- Interacting with others in the administration of the workers compensation program and the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions.
- Monitoring industrial health compliance.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in a relevant field or Associates degree plus three years of related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in environmental health and safety or related fields.
- Proven ability to identify risks, prevent injuries, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
- OSHA safety certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and hazard mitigation techniques.
- Experience in risk management, global EHS programs, laboratory, or construction safety.
- Data analysis and reporting expertise.
- Strong root cause analysis and decision-making capabilities.
