Job Summary:
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and programs that ensure a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment for all employees.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct facility inspections to identify environmental, health, and safety risks
- Develop, implement, and maintain inspection procedures and schedules
- Monitor compliance with all applicable safety policies, procedures, and regulations
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and environmental standards
Program Development & Training
- Create and implement comprehensive health and safety procedures across all business units
- Develop and deliver training programs on:
- Emergency response
- Workplace safety
- Regulatory compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture through education and engagement
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and document findings
- Maintain accurate records of:
- Hazardous material usage and exposure
- Waste discharge and environmental compliance
- Ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are current and readily accessible
Additional Responsibilities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and environmental performance
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree - Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or related field (required)
- Master’s degree (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in EHS or a related field
- OSHA certification/training strongly preferred
