EHR Systems Analyst – Epic Ambulatory

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced EHR Systems Analyst with strong Epic Ambulatory build and configuration experience.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience configuring Epic Ambulatory, particularly around clinical documentation, note templates, and outpatient workflows.

This position will support Project Ambient Listening, an Epic tool that helps providers generate clinical documentation from patient conversations. The role will assist with onboarding and supporting approximately 650 providers.

The hiring manager is specifically seeking candidates with direct, hands-on Epic Ambulatory build experience. Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily focused on Epic support or training will not be the target for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on Epic Ambulatory build and configuration
• Configure and support ambulatory clinical documentation
• Develop and maintain note templates
• Analyze and optimize outpatient clinical workflows
• Provide advanced technical support for Epic applications
• Analyze workflows, data collection, reporting, and other technical components
• Collaborate with clinical and business subject matter experts
• Tailor Epic functionality to meet organizational needs
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues
• Document system changes, workflows, and processes
• Utilize ticketing systems to manage and resolve issues
• Assist with implementation initiatives and special projects
• Support provider onboarding and workflow adoption

Required Qualifications

• Epic Ambulatory Certification – REQUIRED
• Hands-on Epic Ambulatory build/configuration experience – REQUIRED
• 5+ years of Epic software implementation/support or business systems process analysis/design experience
• Experience with ambulatory clinical documentation
• Experience creating or configuring note templates
• Experience supporting outpatient/ambulatory clinical workflows
• Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Epic Ambient Listening
• Experience with ambient clinical documentation or AI-enabled documentation tools
• Experience supporting large-scale provider onboarding
• Experience with Epic build/configuration related to clinical documentation
• Strong workflow analysis and process improvement experience
• Ticketing system experience

Important Note

Epic Ambulatory build experience is the primary focus of this position. Candidates should be able to clearly describe the Epic functionality they have personally built, configured, or modified.

Experience with Ambient Listening is a plus but is not required.
