Overview Responsible for supporting a variety of Environmental Health & Safety functions in partnership to business unit or campus. This role provides support for EHS Team members and other stakeholders in functional areas of EHS including, but not limited to employee relations, safety concerns, workers compensation, hazardous waste management, drug & alcohol, injury response. Facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs and ensures regulatory compliance. This role is included in a family of positions including EHS Specialist, EHS Lead Specialist and Sr. EHS . Employees are placed based on organizational need, employee's level of experience, and competency within the role. This position reports to designated EHS Manager based in Duluth.Responsibilities Supports communication and ensures compliance with EHS and regulatory policies and procedures.Provides support and counsel to leaders and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of EHS policies, procedures and practices.Coordinate with various levels of leadership and employees to provide advice and counsel on employee issues and/or concerns; If necessary conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations to ensure concerns are appropriately resolved in a timely manner.Works effectively with local HR team.Demonstrates professional behavior and the ability to maintain confidentiality on a variety of topics; understands and exercises good judgement to know when to involve HR Business Partner or leader on more complex or sensitive issues.Leads, develops, and participates in company-sponsored activities to support employee engagement.Maintains accurate employee records and administrative procedures that comply with company and regulatory guidelines.Establish and maintain effective relationships with Operations, Managers, Supervisors, and employees.Participate in meetings to discuss workplace safety and regulatory concerns and opportunities.Outlines and implements training programs to educate and inform on workplace safety.Accident prevention, regulations and response.Managing safety metrics.First point of contact to respond to general EHS inquiries or direct to appropriate area, including injury triage, employee concerns, safety issues, incident response and investigation.Tracks and accurately codes department invoices ensuring timely reconciliation and submittal.Creates and distributes EHS memos and other communication material as requested.Ensures that EHS files, both physical and digital, are created and maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.Actively supports our mission, vision and core values and demonstrates Cirrus' Service Essentials.Participates in department meetings and offers suggestions and ideas for process improvement.Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.Other projects and duties as assigned.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, or equivalent field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum two years related experience in SafetyExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to effectively manage stress, including competing work demands and multiple projects at the same time.Ability to effectively work with others and maintain professional demeanor.Exceptional Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook).GSP (Graduate Safety Professional), ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CSP (Certified Safety Professional, CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) helpful, however, not requiredBenefits Comprehensive Health Coverage: Medical, vision, dental, with additional dependent coverage optionsEmployer-Paid Coverages: Group term life, short- and long-term disability insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts: FSA and HSA offerings with company contributions to HSAWell-being: Calm Health, Employee Assistance Program, and wellness incentives through medical provider401(k) Plan: Dollar-for-dollar match up to 5% after 90 days, with 100% vesting at 1 year of servicePTO: Various PTO plans starting at 100 hours accrued within the first yearAdditional Time off Benefits: Paid holidays, 2 weeks of Paid Parental leave, paid time for funeral leave and jury dutyCareer Development: Tuition reimbursement program and professional growth opportunitiesExclusive Discounts: Cirrus Store, partner and marketplace discounts availableCommunity & Engagement: Company and employee clubs at various locationsThese benefits are designed to support your well-being, growth, and enjoyment at Cirrus!Pay Range Salary Range: USD $68,804.55/Yr. - USD $109,472.91/Yr.Sign On Bonus#J-18808-Ljbffr
