Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Analyst

Position Overview
System One is working with a client seeking a proactive and detail-oriented EHS Analyst to support and enhance safety initiatives within the company's manufacturing facility. This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance, driving a strong safety culture, and partnering with operations to identify and mitigate risk. The ideal candidate is hands-on, data-driven, and passionate about creating a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, audits, and monitoring of equipment, work areas, and processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive and corrective actions
- Lead new hire safety training and ongoing employee safety education (including SafeStart)
- Perform compliance audits and maintain safety work order tracking
- Investigate near-miss incidents and support corrective action implementation
- Conduct annual fall protection inspections
- Maintain a visible and active presence on the plant floor
- Serve as an active member of the Plant Safety Committee
- Update and manage site safety signage
- Prepare and maintain monthly safety reports and key performance metrics
- Analyze safety trends and present actionable insights to plant leadership
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of safety procedures
- Input and manage safety data within Benchmark/Gensuite systems
- Support contractor safety programs and compliance efforts
- Collaborate with engineering and operations on new or modified processes to ensure safety considerations are integrated throughout design and implementation
- Promote and drive a culture of EHS excellence and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing or construction environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable industry standards
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to deliver training and influence safe work practices
- Ability to motivate teams and gain buy-in for safety initiatives
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in computer systems including databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
- High attention to detail with the ability to understand broader operational impacts
- Experience working with regulatory agencies, contractors, and external partners
