About the Role

We’re looking for an EHS / Safety Coordinator to support day-to-day safety operations within an active manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, floor-focused safety role for someone who wants to be visible, work directly with employees and supervisors, and have a direct impact on workplace safety.

You’ll help identify and correct hazards, support OSHA compliance, conduct training, investigate incidents, and keep safety programs moving forward. This is a great opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys being involved in the operation rather than spending most of the day behind a desk.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and workplace audits, identifying hazards and following corrective actions through to completion.

  • Support OSHA compliance, company safety policies, required documentation, and regulatory reporting.

  • Lead new-hire safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training for employees and supervisors.

  • Monitor PPE use and safe work practices while working directly with employees on the manufacturing floor.

  • Investigate injuries, incidents, near misses, and other safety concerns; participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action planning.

  • Maintain safety records, OSHA logs, reports, training documentation, and other required EHS information.

  • Partner with Production, Operations, Maintenance, and HR to address safety concerns and strengthen safety processes.

  • Assist with emergency preparedness, response procedures, and ongoing improvements to safety programs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in EHS, industrial safety, safety coordination, or a similar role.

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, or another hands-on operating environment.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements.

  • Ability to recognize workplace hazards and recommend practical, effective corrective actions.

  • Experience conducting employee safety training and orientations.

  • Familiarity with incident investigations and root-cause analysis.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work comfortably with both hourly employees and supervisors.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple safety initiatives at the same time.

Helpful Background

The following would be a plus, but aren’t necessarily required:

  • Manufacturing-focused EHS or safety experience.

  • OSHA 30 or other relevant safety training/certifications.

  • Knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping requirements.

  • Experience with workers’ compensation or incident management.

  • Familiarity with transportation or FMCSA-related safety requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, EHS, Industrial Safety, or a related field.

Who This Could Be a Great Fit For

This role is well suited for a hands-on Safety Specialist, Safety Coordinator, EHS Coordinator, or similar safety professional who likes being out in the operation and interacting with employees.

We’re looking for someone who can recognize a potential issue, communicate it effectively, and work with the people involved to actually get it corrected. If you enjoy building relationships on the floor while still maintaining accountability for safety standards, this could be a strong next step.

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing-floor-focused position in an active industrial environment. The successful candidate should be comfortable spending significant time throughout the facility working with production employees, supervisors, and other operational teams.
