Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA
Salary: $60,000.00 USD Annually - $80,000.00 USD Annually
Description:

Position Summary

The EHS Coordinator is responsible for leading all Safety, Health, and Environmental programs at the Wilkes-Barre manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and company standards while promoting a proactive safety culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO, and applicable safety and environmental regulations
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs, procedures, and training
  • Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and drive corrective actions
  • Champion site safety culture initiatives and maintain strong shop-floor presence
  • Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and internal system reviews
  • Oversee environmental programs and regulatory permits, reporting, and documentation
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims, return-to-work programs, and safety metrics
  • Coordinate emergency response activities, safety committees, and contractor safety


Experience:

  • 5–10 years of EHS experience in a Manufacturing Environment 
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, workers’ compensation, and ISO standards, including:
    • ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems)
    • ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems)
  • Preference for experience with:
    • HazMat and/or HAZWOPER-regulated operations
    • Wastewater compliance and regulatory reporting

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and safety management systems
