The EHS Manager is responsible for refining and overseeing the performance and growth of EHS Programs at SkyWater Texas, with emphasis on Health and Safety. The EHS Manager has key responsibilities for ensuring compliance with state and federal legislation as applicable to the organization and managing the critical relationships and permits with regulatory agencies. This position will be responsible to create, implement and monitor EHS strategies to promote a safe and healthy workplace for our employees.
Major Areas of Accountability:
Accountable and responsible for implementing Health and Safety (ISO45001) Management Systems at the facility.Oversee the development, planning, and implementation of the EHS Management System including policies, business processes and prevention initiatives.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to environmental, health and safety and handle all contact with appropriate agencies.Establish measurement and routine business reporting of EHS objectives, goals, strategies, and key performance indices in conjunction with affected business groups.Manage corporate and site level environmental health and safety teams, including the Emergency Response Team (ERT).Provide site level representation with third parties, including neighboring businesses, local councils, and regulatory bodies including OSHA and the environment agenciesOversee the Health and Safety operations in Texas to promote a culture of safety.

EHS experience in chemically intensive manufacturing industry.5+ years experience in managing EHS programsTechnical experience in occupational health and safety with a strong emphasis in chemical safety / compatibility.Ability to apply EHS and regulatory knowledge to business decisions including the development of implementation plans for applicable requirements.Strong ability to negotiate and manage effective change relative to EHS aspects associated with people changes, equipment and process changes.Ability to build, motivate and lead cross-functional teams to meet project objectives, with a focus on measurable results.Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations and industry EHS related standards.Strong computer literacy skills including mastery knowledge of Microsoft suite (excel, word, power-point) skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Science or Engineering, CIH, CSP, OHST, GSP or other certifications preferred ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 program development preferred.Experience and Skills:
Technical experience in occupational health and safety with a strong emphasis in chemical safety / compatibility.Ability to apply EHS and regulatory knowledge to business decisions including the development of implementation plans for applicable requirements.Strong ability to negotiate and manage effective change relative to EH&S aspects associated with people changes, equipment and process changes.Ability to build, motivate and lead cross-functional teams to meet project objectives, with a focus on measurable results.Can recognize the need, and effectively escalate in the event of conflict or misalignment threatens the success of a project.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and drive message on complex content, in front of peers.Has experience and knowledge in the area of environmental management including, but not limited to Water, Air, Waste and ISO 14001.
