EHS ManagerOur well-established client is looking for an EHS Manager at their manufacturing facility. This leadership role will collaborate with all levels of the facility to drive EHS excellence. The ideal candidate would have 8 plus years of experience in chemicals, plastics or heavy industrial along with PSM experience in a manufacturing setting. The role will manage all health and safety programs with oversight of environmental compliance with wastewater, stormwater and hazardous waste. This is a boots on the ground role for a passionate EHS professional who thrives working across all levels of the organization.The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the safety programs and policies at our chemical manufacturing facility. The role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations, promotes a culture of safety among employees, and minimizes risk of accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents.Essential Job Duties / Responsibilities:Safety Program Development & Implementation:Develop, execute, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to chemical manufacturing processes.Regulatory Compliance:Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.Risk Assessment & Hazard Controls:Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analysis. Implement control measures to mitigate identified risks, including process safety management (PSM) initiatives.Incident Investigation:Lead investigations of accidents, near misses, and safety violations. Analyze root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Training & Awareness:Coordinate safety training sessions for all employees, including emergency response, proper handling of hazardous materials, and safe operating procedures.Safety Audits & Inspections:Perform routine safety inspections and audits of plant operations, equipment, and work environment.
