Position Summary:
Manages the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) function for the Easton site in accordance with ITW enterprise policies, regulatory requirements, and business needs. Implements and administers EHS programs to ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety standards and support short- and long-term business objectives. Partners with leaders and employees to identify and mitigate workplace hazards, evaluates equipment, processes, and capital projects for EHS risks, and recommends appropriate controls. Oversees regulatory reporting, environmental compliance, safety training, incident and risk-reduction activities, and interactions with external agencies. Collaborates with other site and Segment EHS leaders to support a consistent safety approach across the division.
Core Responsibilities:
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field, plus five (5) years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing hazardous chemicals, including chemical exposure monitoring, labeling, grounding and bonding, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting root cause analysis using methods such as 5 Whys and Fishbone.
Completion of OSHA 30-Hour General Industry course and working knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, and Maryland workers' compensation requirements.
Experience developing and implementing EHS programs, delivering safety training, and leading risk-reduction initiatives that improve workplace safety.
Strong leadership, collaboration, communication, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to drive change and manage competing priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based business applications.
Ability to respond to emergency situations as needed and work in environments involving heat, cold, and controlled chemicals while following applicable EHS requirements.
