Schedule

Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; flexibility available)

Project Scope

The EHS Manager will lead Environmental, Health, and Safety programs at a manufacturing facility and service provider specializing in advanced boiler cleaning technologies and diagnostic systems. The site supports customers across power generation, pulp & paper, and industrial sectors, with this role focused specifically within the Pulp and Paper Division.

This position is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement aligned with corporate ANDRITZ standards. The EHS Manager will work closely with site leadership, regional EHS teams, and employees to implement effective programs that support safe operations, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.

The role requires a hands-on leader who can balance regulatory requirements with practical site execution while fostering a strong safety culture and supporting business objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management or EHS leadership
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field

Additional Requirements

Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state environmental regulations

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Environmental, Health, and Safety programs aligned with ANDRITZ standards, site-specific risks, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain and continuously improve site EHS processes supporting ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification
• Review and update EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
• Monitor regulatory changes and lead site implementation as required
• Manage environmental permits, inspections, reporting, and compliance activities
• Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and workplace audits
• Lead incident, near-miss, and environmental investigations with root cause analysis
• Identify trends and emerging risks and drive corrective and preventive actions
• Deliver EHS training to employees, contractors, supervisors, and management
• Support leadership in building and sustaining a strong safety culture
• Promote employee engagement in EHS initiatives and continuous improvement
• Support environmental initiatives including waste reduction, spill prevention, and energy efficiency
• Maintain accurate EHS records, reports, and regulatory documentation
• Prepare and present EHS performance metrics to site and regional leadership
• Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, HR, and corporate EHS teams
