POSITION OVERVIEW
As a EHS Manager your roles and responsibilities will include:
The EHS Manager will lead all
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) activities for the Lancaster manufacturing operation. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while developing a strong safety and environmental culture across the plant.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the plant s EHS programs, policies, and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Develop proactive EHS plans and continuously improve plant safety performance.
- Provide EHS training and guidance to plant management and employees.
- Manage environmental permits, reports, documentation, and regulatory submissions.
- Maintain effective relationships with regulatory agencies and environmental organizations.
- Lead environmental management systems and ensure compliance with ISO 14001.
- Manage workers compensation and OSHA recordkeeping requirements.
- Oversee the medical department/staff and plant security functions.
- Identify EHS risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support continuous improvement and minimize environmental impact.
- Serve as a member of the Plant Leadership Team and contribute to overall business
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate EHS Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal EHS Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited university.
- 5+ years of EHS leadership experience.
- Management/leadership experience in EHS.
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field.
- 3+ years leading an EHS team in a heavy industrial environment.
- Experience with ISO 14001.
- Strong environmental compliance and regulatory experience.
- Experience with OSHA, workers compensation, environmental permits, and regulatory agencies.
