We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent EHS Manager to join our team. The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs of the company. This role will ensure that the company complies with all relevant EHS regulations, including those set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Department of Transportation (DOT), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to safety, a deep understanding of EHS regulations, and the ability to effectively communicate and implement safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the company's EHS programs to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees about safety procedures and regulations.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to identify their causes and to determine how they might be prevented in the future.
  • Collaborate with management to develop safety policies and procedures and to integrate safety considerations into business decisions.
  • Stay updated on new regulations and standards related to EHS and ensure the company is in compliance.
  • Serve as the company's primary contact for all EHS-related matters, including inspections and audits by regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, with a strong focus on EHS compliance, DOT compliance, and EPA certification.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety programs.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of OSHA safety regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex safety information to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential safety hazards and develop effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide employees in maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Ability to stay updated on new EHS regulations and standards and to integrate this information into the company's safety programs.
