Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager - Bilingual

Overview:
The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager leads safety and environmental initiatives across the facility to ensure a compliant and safe work environment aligned with company and regulatory standards. In a food production setting, this role implements and maintains safety programs, drives corrective actions, and supports continuous improvement efforts. It also requires strong communication skills and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Job Duties:
  • Lead and manage key EHS programs, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), PPE compliance, and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by driving Zero Injury initiatives, hazard identification, and continuous improvement efforts such as Kaizen events.
  • Conduct safety training and education, including onboarding, toolbox talks, ongoing development, and contractor EHS compliance.
  • Perform audits, inspections, and Safety Layered Process Audits (LPA), while monitoring production activities to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Lead incident investigations and reporting, maintain regulatory compliance records, and support emergency preparedness and first aid response.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5–7 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food production
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, with OSHA 10/30 required (or ability to obtain) and CSP or similar certification preferred
  • Experience in safety management systems, incident investigations, and general workplace safety compliance
  • Strong communication, time management, and Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
