Your Impact- Big and Bold:Lead environmental and health and safety initiatives within a fast-paced, heavy manufacturing environment. As a key member of the facility leadership team, this role is responsible for EH&S regulatory compliance, safety culture, environmental programs, site security, and EH&S training, ensuring company goals and milestones are achieved.This highly collaborative leader partners closely with Operations management, supervisors, and hourly team members to strengthen safety, drive compliance, and promote a proactive EH&S culture across the facility.
What a Like: Day in Your Life Looks Like:
EH&S Leadership: Partner with site leaders to drive EH&S strategy, compliance, audits, and a strong, proactive safety culture.
Environmental Compliance: Lead environmental programs and reporting, including NPDES/stormwater, wastewater, hazardous waste, Title V/air emissions and permits, and Tier II.
Safety & OSHA Compliance: Maintain OSHA compliance and programs covering LOTO, machinery, NFPA, welding, cranes, PITs, PPE, hazard communication, and other general industry standards.
Industrial Hygiene: Lead industrial hygiene programs and provide EH&S technical support for plant operations and projects.
Incident Management: Lead incident reporting, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and follow-through to resolution.
Emergency Preparedness: Develop emergency response plans and serve as the site's emergency coordinator.
Risk & Performance: Analyze safety metrics, identify trends and risks, and implement strategies that reduce injuries and improve EH&S performance.
Regulatory & Medical Coordination: Monitor regulatory changes, maintain required OSHA records, and partner with the onsite medical team on return-to-work programs.
What You Bring to the Table:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in an EH&S related discipline or EngineeringExperience:• Minimum of 5 years of progressive EHS experience• Large site heavy manufacturing experienceCertification /License:• ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM, or PE preferred but not required
