Job Title: EHS Professional

Location(s): Cary, NC


Experience Required:

  • 2+ years of relevant Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) experience (or Master's degree entry level).
  • Experience implementing and supporting EHS programs, processes, and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and improve EHS processes, methods, and programs.
  • Plan and execute EHS project rollouts while tracking milestones.
  • Monitor compliance with EHS standards across assigned organizations.
  • Prepare internal and external EHS compliance and regulatory reports.
  • Track changes in environmental, health, and safety laws and recommend policy updates.
  • Support internal and external EHS audits.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and maintain relationships with external authorities.
  • Deliver EHS training to employees and management.
  • Stay current with regional, state, and local EHS regulations.
  • Contribute to process improvements and continuous compliance initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety regulations and compliance.
  • Experience with EHS reporting and documentation.
  • Understanding of EHS audits and corrective action processes.
  • Ability to interpret and apply environmental and safety regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred for entry-level professionals.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA, EPA, or equivalent EHS standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
A candidate with 2–5 years of Environmental Health & Safety experience who has supported EHS compliance, audits, reporting, training, and regulatory programs. The ideal professional is detail-oriented, knowledgeable of applicable safety and environmental regulations, capable of implementing process improvements, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
