EHS Project Support ManagerOverviewLocation: Duncan, South Carolina, United StatesPosition Type: Contract (2 months)Compensation: $34/hrPrimary ResponsibilitiesSupport project managers and site leadership with enforcement of EHS requirements related to construction, installations, line moves, and building/property infrastructure modifications.Provide coordination and oversight of contractor activities, including facilitating daily start‑of‑shift meetings.Coordinate permitting and conduct meetings (hot work, confined space, rescue plans) before work starts; monitor contractor work.Monitor contractors for safe work practices and notify leadership of issues or opportunities.Use contractor audit forms; maintain a tracking system for contractor audits and scorecard.Support EHS change management for new equipment or lines.Advise on EHS pre‑startup reviews and actions from reviews.Complete EHS audits/inspections of contractor and associate conditions and behaviors.Ensure contractors are onboarded, follow regulatory requirements, and documented accordingly.Oversee PJSAs, contractor orientation training verification, and EHS contractor database entry; obtain expired COIs if needed.Ensure all contractor‑related incidents are reported and recorded per regulations.Access ETQ and assist with investigations; coordinate with other contractor management.Support compliance with environmental programs and permits for construction projects (water, stormwater, emissions, hazardous waste, etc.).Work with EHS and BLE/HRP as concerns arise.Additional Responsibilities When RequiredServe as point of contact for contractors for technical & scope questions and route inquiries to responsible engineer.Accumulate “as built” information and update plant layout and technical documents for responsible engineers.Provide input to improve and optimize installations or equipment moves.Obtain and review contractor quotes for budgeting.Track contractor hours for invoicing verification in time & material agreements.Personal QualitiesProblem solving – ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and suggest improvements.Interpersonal skills – communicates and works well with all organization levels, building stakeholder relationships.Initiative – stays current on regulations and procedures; develops new methods for EHS processes.Autonomous – sets priorities and works with limited supervision.Accommodating – treats associates and contractors as customers and shows empathy.Qualifications10 years of experience in plant installations and modifications, including oversight of contractor execution, or equivalent in manufacturing.Incident management, root cause analysis, and investigation skills with timely corrective actions.Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and SCDES regulations.General PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft OS.Ability to conduct group training using adult learner techniques.Proven success managing projects, contractors, change management, and equipment reviews.Knowledge of industry best practices in EHS process improvements.Strong communication to promote buy‑in and reduce negative EHS perceptions.Equal Opportunity EmployerTRS Staffing Solutions is an equal opportunities employer.
