EHS Site Lead - Industrial Manufacturer

As they continue to enhance existing processes and introduce new quality initiatives, they have also brought in several new executive leaders to help modernize and strengthen the organization.Job DescriptionMap, schedule, and conduct regular plant safety audits to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies. Integrate audit plans and corrective actions into standard operating tools such as 5S and Tier accountability programs. Lead root cause analysis and corrective action discussions with employees and leadership. Utilize problem-solving methods such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and 8D. Track actions on Tier boards and include effectiveness checks in audit schedules. Develop, update, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and training, including: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), forklift safety, hazard communication, ergonomics, PPE. Emergency response, respiratory protection, confined space procedures. Environmental standards (e.g., ISO 14000). Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, stormwater, etc.). Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs for all employees. Conduct safety orientation training for new hires. Review and audit EHS programs and policies to ensure alignment with current regulatory and corporate requirements. Oversee the investigation of all safety-related incidents. Manage full documentation, including initial reports and final summaries. Lead root cause and corrective action processes. Ensure follow-up audits confirm issues are fully resolved. Manage Workers' Compensation cases and the Return-to-Work program in collaboration with Human Resources. Coordinate and support internal and external EHS inspections. Work with maintenance and other teams to ensure readiness for audits. Include ergonomic evaluations as part of safety audits. Lead and facilitate site safety committee meetings. Manage safety committee activities, processes, and initiatives. Drive behavioral-based safety programs to promote proactive risk prevention. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals used onsite. Support Human Resources with safety incentive programs and initiatives. Stay current on changes to relevant safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, ACGIH, NFPA, etc.). Maintain safety communications, including postings, bulletin boards, and signage throughout the facility. Perform additional duties, special projects, and assignments as needed.The Successful ApplicantExperience ensuring compliance with OSHA and the EPA. Root Cause Analysis and CAPA experience. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Strong communication skills is required.
