Job Title: Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) Representative

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) Representative responsible for the oversight and implementation of ES&H requirements on-site at Y-12. This role requires the candidate to be on-site at all times when work is being performed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oversight and implementation of the ES&H Plan.
• Conduct safety assessments and ensure compliance with safety and health standards.
• Report directly to the Site Manager and maintain clear communication regarding safety issues.
• Coordinate and administer the ES&H Project Plan in conjunction with contractor management.

Essential Skills

• Four-year technical degree in an ES&H discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of safety and health experience in construction environments.
• Completion of a 30-hour Occupational Safety and Health Standards training course (OTI 510) or equivalent.
• Proficiency in OSHA standards, including OSHA 10 and OSHA 30.
• 29 CFR 1910.120 HAZWOPER 40-hour certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with EHS tools/software and standard office applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• CSP or equivalent nationally recognized certification or eligibility.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Experience in DOE Projects or equivalent experience in similar environments.

Work Environment

The position is based at Oakridge Y-12 and will eventually extend to the Savannah River Project. A supportive corporate office located in Mesa, AZ, offers strong backing throughout projects. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Ridge, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/hr.
