Job Description:
Job Description This is a contracted, full-time, on-site role based in Paris, KY. What we are looking for: Education: Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in EHS Core Skills & Competencies
Demonstrates decision-making skills to evaluate EHS risks
Ability to identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and collaborate to support corrective actions
Basic knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Organizational skills with the ability to coordinate tasks and prioritize projects.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Assist with compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
Coordinate comprehensive risk assessments with a focus on engaging employees while identifying and mitigating process hazards and repetitive risks.
Assist with development of site risk register and drive corrective actions through root cause analysis and prioritization
Support audits, inspections, and incident investigations with a focus on systemic risk reduction
Demonstrate initiative and accountability in managing assigned EHS tasks
Training & Culture Building
Deliver targeted training programs on risk awareness, PSM, and JHA best practices
Partner to lead site-wide safety campaigns and employee engagement efforts to foster a proactive safety culture
Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to recommend process improvements
Environmental Stewardship
Support environmental compliance activities for air, wastewater, waste management, groundwater, and stormwater programs, SPCC, CERCLA, and community right-to-know requirements.
Emergency Preparedness
Coordinate emergency response planning and support alignment with internal teams to ensure effective preparedness and response capabilities
Support post-incident analysis to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement efforts
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Support contractor safety programs and ensure alignment with site protocols
