Job Title: EHS Supervisor / Laboratory Safety
Location: Sanford, Florida
Job Type: Permanent

Role Overview

  • Oversee and manage the organization’s Laboratory Safety Program, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and institutional EHS regulations.

  • Provide leadership through problem-solving, risk analysis, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives related to Environmental Health & Safety.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to reduce risk, prevent incidents, and enhance overall EHS performance.

  • Lead the design, execution, and achievement of annual safety and environmental objectives, targets, and performance metrics.

  • Promote a strong EHS culture focused on compliance, accountability, and proactive risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and continuously improve laboratory safety programs and EHS systems.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and investigations; implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Develop, track, analyze, and report EHS metrics and performance indicators.

  • Lead safety training programs, toolbox talks, and safety awareness initiatives.

  • Champion a positive safety culture through engagement, coaching, and leadership.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working with environmental health and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

  • Experience in a laboratory environment and managing chemical inventories preferred.

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification required.
