This role is responsible for leading day-to-day environmental, health, and safety initiatives within a food manufacturing facility. What You'll Do:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies
- Lead incident and accident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations to identify improvement opportunities
- Maintain OSHA and safety compliance records, including injury reports, 300 logs, and related documentation
- Partner with leadership, HR, employees, contractors, and visitors to promote and strengthen the facility's safety culture
What You Need to Bring:
- Technical Safety degree, certification, or related safety education required
- Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety regulations, compliance standards, and best practices
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision #SMNCareers
