Summary
Job Description:
Performs routine electrocardiography, holter monitoring, technically competent of exercise and pharmacologic stress testing and other special procedures. Collects information pertinent to the interpretation of the test. Provides care to patients of varying ages and age-related needs.
Required Skills:
1. Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of an EKG Technician.
2. Comprehensive knowledge, skills, and ability of routine Electrocardiography, holters and exercise, and pharmacological stress testing.
3. Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
4. Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.
5. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
6. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
7. Knowledgeable of English grammar, punctuation and spelling.
8. Ability to perform basic computer keyboard skills.
Required Experience:
A. Work Experience
Previous EKG Technician work experience preferred.
B. License/Registration/Certification:
Current CPR Training Program
C. Education and Training:
High school graduate or equivalent and completion of Medical Assistant training program.
