Job Summary and Qualifications

Our cardiovascular services teams are caring individuals committed to providing the highest quality care. We are looking for a new EKG Technician. Our EKG or Stress Tech will perform standard EKG, EEG, Holter Monitor, stress testing and non-invasive vascular procedures. You will maintain department and patient records and provide direct patient care to patients of all ages. 

 Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Interprets Rhythms and Arrhythmias.
  • Reports all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff.
  • Maintains Telemetry supplies and equipment.
  • Records patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems. 
  • Performs duties with full understanding of related age specific factors.
  • Orients and mentors new staff members.
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

 Qualifications:

  • High school or GED
  • Successful completion of 16 hour EKG course within 90 days of employment
  • 1 years’ experience required hospital setting preferred
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds
