EL Teacher

The Barron Area School District is seeking a certified (WI Licensure 1395) teachers for English as a Second Language beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.

This position will provide specialized instruction at Woodland Elementary for the purpose of developing the student''s ability to effectively participate in all classes and acquire the English language resulting in high levels of learning.

This includes creating an educational program and classroom environment; establishing effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to increase the personal and academic growth of each individual student; motivating students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge necessary for lifelong learning.

Assessment of learning in multiple ways that include: understanding of assessment criteria and assessing students, formative assessment (monitoring progress by both students and the teacher), state-required testing, and providing high-quality feedback and instruction to students is a requirement.

The teacher will need to effectively and clearly communicate with students, colleagues, administrators, and parents.
