Qualifications: | Valid Tennessee teaching license Certification: Valid state teaching certification/licensure in English Language Arts for the relevant grade levels. Experience: Previous experience teaching ELA at the middle or high school level is highly valued. |
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: | An English Language Arts (ELA) teacher instructs students in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking. They develop standards-based curricula, analyze literature, foster literacy skills, and assess student progress through varied assessments. Key duties include creating a positive, inclusive classroom, differentiating instruction, and communicating with parents |
