    Job OverviewA law firm seeks an Elder Abuse Litigation Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The attorney will manage a caseload of elder abuse cases, focusing on litigation involving nursing homes.DutiesRepresent clients in elder abuse and neglect cases from intake through resolution.Conduct legal research, investigations, and case evaluations.Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement demands.Manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.Work with medical experts, investigators, and social service professionals to build cases.Advise clients and families regarding legal rights, remedies, and case strategy.Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers, defense counsel, and opposing parties.Maintain accurate case files and comply with all court deadlines.Stay informed on changes in elder law, healthcare regulations, and abuse prevention laws.Collaborate with support staff and contribute to client-centered legal services.RequirementsMinimum 5 years of elder abuse litigation experience.Experience with discovery, depositions, mediation, and courtroom proceedings.CA State Bar License.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree.CertificationsActive CA Bar License.SkillsStrong written and verbal communication skills.Compassionate and professional demeanor when working with elderly clients and families.Proficiency in legal research and case management software.BenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and holidays.401(k) plan options with matching.Life insurance.Health savings account.Retirement plan.#J-18808-Ljbffr
