The Ada County Clerk's Office serves the community through five divisions: Court Clerks, Recorders, Auditors, Elections, and Community Programs. POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY:
Elections Specialists are key personnel that work to ensure a safe and secure elections throughout the year. Specialists perform a wide variety of tasks related to the election process, including administering elections programs, systems, and related personnel, assisting in training seasonal election personnel, performing detailed data entry, confirming that work is done accurately and on a timely basis, and performing related work as required. The position works under general warehouse supervision to carry out work assignments in accordance with instructions, policies, procedures, and Idaho Code. The position reports to the Election Supervisor within the Ada County Clerk/Auditor/Recorders Administration.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES:
The employee works under general supervision to carry out work assignments in accordance with instructions, policies, procedures, and Idaho Code, and must exercise judgment in the application of prescribed procedures and methods to routine matters. The work requires broad working knowledge of the Elections procedures system in order to perform the more complex functions of the job to be able to accomplish the work of the office independently.
