Job DescriptionTechnician to work on rail electrical and electro-mechanical installations, execute test procedures, generate test reports, make adjustments on systems and troubleshoot rail vehicles and/or its subsystems. Generate/Track progress reports to management.ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical installations and repairs on rail vehicles at an acceptable level of quality and within agreed method times as directed by Supervisor.Demonstrate good working knowledge and experience with the use of hand and power tools, welding machines, measuring devices and pneumatic/hydraulic gauges.Read and comprehend a wide range of mechanical drawings and work instructions.Understand the purpose of the Bill of Material (BOM) and how it relates to material picking lists and operations list.Identify and record information such as part numbers and serial numbers.Perform and generate reports on all routine tests and testing activities.Troubleshoot manufacturing & component problems to the lowest Line Replaceable Unit (LRU), and support during qualification tests.Execute tests according to test procedures and schematics.Redline test procedures as required.Use computers, data recorders, digital millimeters, various measurement instruments, pneumatic/hydraulic gauges.Read and understand schematics and wire lists.Document and report any anomaly or failure during test execution.Learn and optimize the test execution and troubleshooting.Have strong knowledge and comprehension of schematics, block diagrams, wire lists, functional diagrams, and basic electronics, including operation of 12VDC-72VDC and 24VAC-480VAC systems.Support mechanical installations and repairs on rail vehicles as directed by Supervisor.Support installation and termination of electrical panels, equipment, components, and understand how they operate to troubleshoot any electrical issues.Perform configuration management.#J-18808-Ljbffr
