Description

  • Lead and supervise daily electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities across the facility.
  • Coordinate and priorities maintenance schedules in partnership with operations, engineering, and reliability teams.
  • Manage electrical and instrumentation technicians, contractors, and external service providers.
  • Drive execution of preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance programs.
  • Support troubleshooting and repair activities for electrical systems, instrumentation, process controls, and related equipment.
  • Maintain a strong field presence to oversee work quality, safety compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices, environmental compliance, and maintenance standards.
  • Monitor maintenance performance metrics, backlog management, and resource utilization.
  • Develop team capability through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Support plant shutdowns, equipment upgrades, reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement projects
  • Coordinate maintenance materials, spare parts requirements, and contractor activities.

Profile

The successful candidate will bring strong electrical and instrumentation maintenance experience gained within an industrial manufacturing environment such as chemicals, refining, food processing, heavy industry, or related sectors. They will have demonstrated leadership experience and a proven ability to coordinate maintenance activities within a fast-paced production setting.

Key requirements include:
  • 5+ years of industrial electrical and instrumentation experience.
  • Previous supervisory, leadership, or maintenance coordination experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, instrumentation, motor controls, VFDs, analyzers, and control systems.
  • Experience supporting PLCs, DCS platforms, and industrial process control systems is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to prioritize work, allocate resources, and manage multiple maintenance activities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and team development skills.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS platforms, SAP, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of industrial safety programs including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, electrical safety, and contractor management.
  • Technical degree preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
  • Massachusetts electrical license preferred.
