Electrical and Plumbing CAD Architect (Flex, New Jersey) 6230

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical + Plumbing CAD Architect to collaborate remotely with our client in a flexible role. You should be available to work aligned with Eastern Time (ET).

What you’ll do:

• Implement design changes for Plumbing and Electrical systems in AutoCAD to ensure documents are fully coordinated and ready for construction.

• Prepare and update Construction Documents (CDs) to present to general contractors.

• Accurately pick up and implement redlines into CAD drawings.

• Develop detailed electrical and plumbing layouts for residential projects, primarily wood framing construction.

• Ensure documentation aligns with applicable building codes, including knowledge of Texas code requirements.

• Coordinate drawings to ensure clarity and constructability for local builders.

• Maintain organization, precision, and efficiency while managing revisions and updates.

• Work independently while integrating seamlessly with the client’s team.
  
  

What you must have:

• A degree in Architecture or a related field.

• 5+ years of professional experience in Electrical and Plumbing drafting and documentation.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Advanced English level.

• Proven experience producing and updating full CD sets for general contractors.

• Experience picking up and implementing redlines efficiently and accurately.

• Background working on residential projects, preferably wood framing construction.

• Working knowledge of Texas building codes.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple revisions under deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, flexible environment.
