Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking registered Electrical Apprentices to support the assembly and wiring of specialized electrical equipment and skids being manufactured for use in data center facilities.
This work is performed in a manufacturing environment, not inside an active data center. Apprentices will work under the supervision of licensed Journeyman Electricians while gaining hands-on experience with factory electrical integration, equipment hookups, electrical connections, terminations, power distribution systems, and cable tray work.
This is not a conduit installation position.
Candidates must have an active Oklahoma Electrical Apprentice registration and be prepared for the current extended production schedule of approximately 72 hours per week.
Required Experience & Skills
Active Oklahoma Electrical Apprentice registration required
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and electrical tools
Previous electrical construction, industrial, commercial, or manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to work under the supervision of licensed Journeyman Electricians
Ability to follow electrical drawings or willingness to learn
Ability to follow schematics and project specifications or develop these skills through training
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and workmanship
Ability to follow instructions accurately
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to work extended shifts and overtime as required
Comfortable working approximately 72 hours per week under the current production schedule
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Reliable transportation to and from work
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with assembling electrical components for data center equipment
Help wire manufactured electrical skids and equipment
Support factory electrical integration activities
Assist Journeymen with equipment hookups
Work with plug-and-play power distribution systems
Assist licensed Electricians with electrical terminations
Install and work with cable tray systems
Route wiring and cables according to applicable requirements
Read and follow electrical drawings
Learn to interpret electrical schematics
Follow project specifications and assembly instructions
Use electrical hand and power tools safely
Inspect completed work for obvious quality concerns
Verify work according to instructions from Journeymen and project leadership
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Follow all applicable electrical and workplace safety procedures
Help prepare completed equipment and skids for shipment
Perform additional electrical assembly duties as assigned
Data Center Equipment Assembly
The equipment manufactured at this facility will ultimately be installed at data center locations, but Apprentices perform their work within a manufacturing facility.
Candidates may assist with:
Data center equipment skids
Electrical power equipment
Power distribution assemblies
Factory-integrated electrical systems
Plug-and-play power distribution systems
Cable tray systems
Electrical equipment connections
Wiring and terminations
Completed equipment and skids are prepared for shipment to their final data center locations.
Journeyman Supervision & Training
Electrical Apprentices will work under licensed Journeyman Electricians and may assist with:
Electrical equipment assembly
Wiring
Equipment hookups
Electrical terminations
Cable routing
Cable tray installation
Component installation
Electrical testing and inspection support
Troubleshooting under supervision
This is an excellent opportunity for registered Apprentices to develop additional industrial and manufacturing electrical experience while working alongside experienced Journeymen.
Factory Electrical Integration
Responsibilities may include:
Installing electrical components onto manufactured equipment
Routing wiring according to drawings
Connecting electrical components
Assisting with equipment hookups
Supporting power distribution system integration
Verifying connections with Journeyman supervision
Correcting installation concerns as directed
Preparing equipment for inspection and shipment
Electrical Termination Support
Apprentices may assist licensed Journeymen with:
Cable preparation
Electrical connections
Equipment terminations
Wire identification
Connection verification
Tool and material preparation
Other termination-related responsibilities within their authorized scope
Cable Tray Work
Install cable tray systems according to project requirements
Route electrical cables through applicable tray systems
Maintain proper cable organization
Follow drawings and routing instructions
Assist with securing and organizing wiring
Support efficient factory integration of electrical systems
No Conduit Installation
This position is specifically focused on equipment assembly and factory electrical integration rather than conduit installation.

Blueprint & Schematic Development
Depending on experience level, Apprentices may:
Read basic electrical drawings
Follow wiring diagrams
Identify electrical components
Locate connection points
Follow cable-routing instructions
Compare completed work against drawings
Develop stronger schematic-reading skills while working with licensed Journeymen
Candidates who do not yet have advanced blueprint or schematic experience should be willing and able to learn.

Candidates may regularly use:
Electrical hand tools
Power tools
Wire preparation tools
Termination tools
Measuring equipment
Cable tray installation tools
Other electrical assembly equipment
All tools must be used according to company procedures and Journeyman instruction.

Schedule & Overtime Requirements
The current production schedule is:
MondaySaturday
6:00 AM 6:00 PM
Approximately 72 hours per week
Candidates must be prepared to work the extended schedule and overtime required by current production demands.
Transportation & Driving
Reliable transportation to and from the Oklahoma City facility is required
No driving is required as part of the job duties
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and remain physically active throughout extended shifts
Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, positioning, pushing, and pulling
Manual dexterity required for electrical wiring and component assembly
Ability to safely use hand and power tools
Comfortable working around electrical equipment, manufactured skids, cable trays, and production machinery
Ability to perform hands-on electrical assembly throughout 12-hour shifts
Ability to safely wear all required PPE
