Job Summary:

An electrical apprentice will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various environments. Under the supervision of experienced electrician(s), the apprentice will gain hands-on experience, develop diagnostic skills, and help ensure that all work is performed in compliance with relevant code standards. This role is ideal for those looking to build a rewarding career in the electrical industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills; show a mechanical aptitude for hands-on work.
• Produce neat, clean, and thorough work, maintaining high standards in all tasks.
• Work efficiently, quickly, and with excellent organizational skills to meet project timelines.
• Follow all safety protocols on job sites and while driving, always prioritizing safety for yourself and the team.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients by addressing their needs, concerns, and expectations professionally.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, taking direction well and support team efforts to complete projects on time.
• Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards set by the company.
• Assist journeyman and master electricians with installing, repairing, and maintain electrical systems.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to assist in accurate electrical system installations.
• Install, repair, and maintain wiring, lighting, and control systems in residential or commercial settings.
• Develop troubleshooting skills to diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations in every task performed.
• Maintain and organize tools, materials, and equipment on the job site to promote a safe and efficient workspace.
• Actively participate in on-the-job training and classes to build technical skills and industry knowledge.
• Demonstrate initiative and adaptability, performing additional duties as assigned to support the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to pass initial and random drug screenings
• Ability to pass a comprehensive national background check
• Valid driver's license with insurability by Vredevoogd’s insurance carrier
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong dedication to delivering exceptional customer service
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools is a plus
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new tasks and challenges
• Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
• Consistent work ethic, punctuality, and a proactive, positive attitude

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $25.00
