Job Summary: The Electrical Apprentice supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and industrial equipment under the guidance of licensed electricians. This role assists with troubleshooting electrical issues, performing basic preventative maintenance, and learning to work safely with wiring, control panels, motors, and industrial machinery. The Electrical Apprentice follows electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies while developing technical skills and contributing to smooth and efficient plant operations. Essential Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, machinery, and industrial equipment throughout the facility under supervision.
- Support troubleshooting efforts on motors, control panels, drives, PLCs, and automation systems to help minimize downtime.
- Perform routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance on electrical components.
- Observe mechanical and electrical devices in operation and report unusual sounds or behaviors to identify potential issues.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Safely assist with wiring, breakers, conduit, and electrical equipment in accordance with electrical codes and company safety practices.
- Help dismantle devices to access defective parts and assist with repairs and replacement tasks as directed.
- Aid in adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments under guidance.
- Assist in testing devices and equipment performance following repairs or adjustments.
- Learn the technical aspects of electrical and mechanical drawings to support maintenance activities.
- Help prepare replacement parts lists and support inventory requests for components and equipment.
- Collaborate with electricians, production, maintenance, and engineering teams to support equipment improvements.
- Use testing devices to help identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs as instructed.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and updates following company procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and plant efficiency.
- Follow all OSHA, NFPA, and facility safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
Minimum Qualifications: - Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical techniques, tools, equipment, and materials, with willingness to learn.
- Ability to complete assigned work accurately, efficiently, and within required timeframes.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality, consistently meeting productivity and training expectations.
- Ability to apply sound judgment and follow instructions to resolve routine problems.

Education & Experience - High school diploma or equivalent
- Enrollment in or willingness to start an accredited electrical apprenticeship program
- Previous experience in a mechanical, maintenance, or industrial setting preferred but not required
