Position Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Assembler II to join a manufacturing team in Dracut, MA. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced assembler with a background in electrical, electronic, or electromechanical assembly.
The Electrical Assembler II will perform a variety of assembly and subassembly operations involving printed circuit boards, cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, modules, chassis, and other electronic components. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of electrical assembly experience, strong hand-tool skills, and the ability to follow detailed assembly instructions, diagrams, and wire lists.
Essential Job Duties
Perform electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly operations on units of moderate complexity
Assemble printed circuit boards, modules, chassis drawers, cable harnesses, and other electronic assemblies
Build flexible cable assemblies and bulk cables
Cut and strip wires and perform crimping, cleaning, and marking operations
Follow production and assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, notes, and verbal instructions
Assemble, wire, and install a variety of electrical and electronic components
Utilize small hand tools including soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
Perform hand soldering and de-soldering of through-hole and SMT components
Operate semi-automatic assembly equipment as required
Utilize basic electronic test equipment
Handle electronic components in accordance with ESD guidelines
Maintain accuracy and quality throughout the assembly process
Follow established manufacturing procedures and safety requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
1–3 years of electrical/electronic assembly experience
Previous experience with cable assembly, wire cutting/stripping, and crimping preferred
Hands-on soldering and de-soldering experience
Familiarity with through-hole and SMT components
Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, and diagrams
Comfortable using small hand tools and basic electronic test equipment
Understanding of proper ESD handling procedures
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce quality work
Reliable and able to work the Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule
