Our customer has a Mechanical Assembler job available. This is a three month contract due to a medical leave.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
- Work with aluminum extrusion and framing components using basic hand tools and power tools.
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation
- Rework/repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
- Perform work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
- Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe fashion
Qualification requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years mechanical assembly experience may be required
- Excellent attention to detail with ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic computer navigation
