Position Summary This position is responsible for assisting teams in the construction of projects and ensuring project quality, schedule, cost control, safety, and customer objectives are met.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides support to project managers for change orders, expediting logs, RFI logs, etc.Performs cost control and financial management by working with preconstruction on project estimate and scheduleCoordinates scope of workPrepares and reviews submittalsReviews and compiles pay applications, change requests, and other project financial documentationPartners with Project manager to craft client proposals and award subcontractsAssists in contract administration and managementAssists in employee time and recordkeepingAssists in coordinating work with project owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subcontractorsParticipates in meetings to coordinate work and manage labor concernsPrepares correspondence as neededPerforms other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective completion of projectDevelops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.Secures material orders, assists superintendents with material ordersEnsures efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of departmentQualifications Education and Experience BSEE or Construction Management preferred; high school diploma required2+ years experience in electrical constructionDemonstrated ability to develop relationships and leadership potentialPrior experience in electrical estimating, a plusElectrician's license, a plusStrong computer skillsRequired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam, Accubid, and scheduling softwareAbility to perform accurate and organized take offs from contract documentsExceptional communication skills, both oral and writtenProficient analytical, motivational, and leadership skillsAbility to use estimating software to define the cost of any work to be performedWorking knowledge of electrical parts and their intended useWorking knowledge of general constructionDemonstrated safety leader and true believer in safetyCurrent and valid driver's license and clean driving recordWork Environment Work may be inside or outside with possible exposure to extreme temperatures and weather elements in restricted or confined spaces, and on slippery or uneven surfaces. The role may involve working on ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other typical heavy construction exposures.
