Position SummaryNestlé USA is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical & Automation Technician to support and maintain process control systems, electrical infrastructure, and factory automation equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for proactively troubleshooting and repairing electrical and automation systems to minimize downtime and support operational excellence.This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.Compensation$400 a month attendance bonusShift Information3rd shift Monday-Friday, 10pm-6:30amKey ResponsibilitiesPLC & Automation SystemsTroubleshoot PLCs, control panels, and associated automation hardwareSupport troubleshooting and maintenance of HMI systemsAssist with PLC and HMI programming, testing, and commissioningTroubleshoot and programInterpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and safety circuitsSupport automation obsolescence and modernization initiativesIndustrial Electrical SystemsTroubleshoot electrical systems includingTroubleshoot circuits from motor starters through connected loadsMaintain and improve motor control circuit designsSupport machine safety systems and performance level verificationPerform electrical repairs and preventive maintenance activities safely and efficientlySCADA / MES / Network SupportSupport basic troubleshooting of SCADA, MES, Historian, and production data systemsTroubleshoot communication between production equipment and networked systemsMaintain and support industrial control networks including Ethernet/IPAssist with switch and network troubleshootingEnsure backups and documentation for systems, devices, and configuration changes are properly maintainedPreventive Maintenance & ReliabilityPerform preventive maintenance on electrical and automation systemsComplete instrumentation calibration and maintain calibration documentationMaintain accurate electrical drawings, automation documentation, and backup filesUtilize CMMS/SAP-AMM systems toCreate and manage work ordersEnter maintenance feedback and labor hoursVerify spare parts and BOM accuracyParticipate in root cause analysis and corrective action activitiesContinuous Improvement & Operations SupportAnalyze production and downtime data to improve line reliability and performanceSupport key plant KPI improvements inParticipate in troubleshooting with Operations and Maintenance teams in real timeSupport line improvements, deviation investigations, and process optimizationParticipate in problem-solving methodologies includingBreakdown Analysis (BDA)Assist with training and development of operators and techniciansAdditional ResponsibilitiesSupport operation and reliability of Utility Management SystemsSupport operation and reliability of Quality Control and SPC systemsParticipate in capital projects and process improvement initiativesEngage in continuous improvement pillar activities and team-based manufacturing programsMaintain compliance with all safety, GMP, food safety, and environmental standardsQualificationsRequired EducationHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree or Technical Degree in Electronics Technology preferredOREquivalent combination of education and experiencePreferred ExperienceExperience with industrial automation and process control systemsExperience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC platforms preferredExperience with HMI platforms such asWonderware InTouchExperience with instrumentation calibration preferredKnowledge of robotics, AGVs, and automated manufacturing equipmentNFPA 70E certification is a plusRequired SkillsStrong PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics skillsStrong understanding of industrial electrical systems and circuit analysisAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentationKnowledge of automation, controls, and manufacturing systemsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionEffective communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work off-shifts, weekends, overtime, and extended shifts as neededAbility to work in industrial manufacturing environmentsMust follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), safety permitting, GMP, and food safety requirementsThe Nestlé Companies are equal employment opportunity employers.
