Electrical CAD Design Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and engineering sector, is seeking an Electrical CAD Design Engineer to join their team. As an Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting development and design activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, collaborative spirit, and problem-solving skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Electrical CAD Design Engineer
Location: Woodbury, MN
Pay Range: $27
Duration: 12 months (potential to extend)

What's the Job?

• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to update and maintain electrical drawing packages.
• Incorporate redlined changes into electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and related documentation.
• Support small design efforts using 3D CAD and assembly tools for brackets, fixtures, and simple components.
• Assist with assembly of modules and sub-systems used in development and inspection applications.
• Coordinate with team members to clarify drawing changes and ensure accurate documentation.

What's Needed?

• Associate's degree or higher in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, CAD Drafting, Industrial Technology,  Machine Tool, or related technical field.
• At least 1-2 years of experience using electrical CAD software for creating and revising schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience incorporating redlined drawing changes into controlled documentation.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD for small design updates and assembly support.
• Ability to support assembly of small mechanical or electromechanical components and sub-systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain drawing accuracy and revision control.
