A day in this role

  • Lead select single- and multi-discipline efforts: estimate hours, define scope, recommend staffing, check drawings, execute quality processes, provide monthly Discipline updates, and participate in project meetings.
  • Engage directly with clients to communicate design intent and surface scope changes early.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to gather required technical information.

What you bring

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Inventor for electrical design and detailing.
  • Associate Degree in a technical field or equivalent related experience.
  • 5 years of drafting experience.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), relevant reference documents, and guides.
  • Knowledge of power distribution across 480V–12kV, plus lighting, grounding, motor controls, and heat tracing.
  • Electrical design background in energy, chemical, or industrial environments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Strength in analysis, problem-solving, attention to detail, and quality mindset.
  • Ability to juggle priorities with strong organization and multitasking.
  • Clear, professional communication and interpersonal skills.

Impact

In this position, you’ll be a key contributor from early scoping through drawing checks and quality reviews, ensuring the design is buildable, safe, and aligned with client expectations.
