- Supervise contracted workforce and ensure compliance with standards and approved work packages.
- Coordinate switching clearances, outages, and energization activities.
- Develop construction sequencing to minimize customer impact and maintain system reliability.
- Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and field verifications, addressing any unsafe conditions promptly.
- Oversee installation of substation equipment and line components.
- Manage outage coordination and lead construction meetings with a focus on safety and schedule.
- Monitor budget adherence and manage schedules to meet operational dates.
Requirements:
- 8–15 years of experience in utility transmission, distribution, or substation construction or field operations.
- Strong understanding of utility construction standards and safety rules.
- Ability to manage contractors and multi-discipline crews with a focus on safety.
- Strong communication skills with engineering, operations, field personnel, and contractors.
Preferences:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Utility operations or capital project experience.
