Electrical Construction Traveling Assistant Project Manager NTSOn‑site National Technical Systems • Full time • Portland, Oregon, United StatesDescriptionThe position of Assistant Project Manager for our National Tech Systems team will be traveling to support several jobsites across the US. This person may be based outside of the Regional corporate office. The role is responsible for providing a high level of coordination support in a variety of areas, partnering with construction project management and field staff.ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and project meeting minutes.Supervise and direct project activities as assigned by the PM, including planning and coordinating, resolving problem areas, and ensuring all company/project policies, procedures and standards are maintained.Maintain change‑order, submittal and document‑control logs within Viewpoint.Interact with subcontractors to obtain correct documentation and drawings for Owner and Maintenance Manuals.Create Job Information Sheets and establish job files under the direction of the PM or PX.Assume temporary total project supervision responsibilities in the absence of the PM.Read and have a basic understanding of electrical drawings and specifications.Establish workflow breakdowns in conjunction with Field Supervisors and Project Managers.Ensure project billings are accurate and submitted timely, monthly, and per contract documents.Assist in writing and submission of quality RFIs.Ensure timely payment to subcontractors and vendors.Review and update status of construction schedules as requested by the PM or PX.Assist Project Management team with setting up project budgets in Viewpoint in conjunction with Field Supervisor.Work with Payroll department to ensure accurate payroll information is submitted.Perform other duties as assigned.RequirementsThe role requires proficiency with Viewpoint, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, field staff, and subcontractors.
