Position: Electrical Controls Designer

Position Overview:
As an Electrical Controls Designer, you will design and develop electrical control systems for various projects, collaborating with engineers and technicians to meet client needs, ensuring timely and budget-conscious project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare construction documents (loop drawings, location drawings, cable reports, I/O lists) using AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Apply BIM protocols and contribute to control network documentation, including functional descriptions and specifications for control systems.
• Support piping and instrumentation diagram development and instrumentation/control valve specifications.
• Travel to client sites for data collection, site documentation, and equipment start-up support.
• Assist in project proposals and estimates, and collaborate across disciplines for project success.
• Design control systems, create schematics, select components, troubleshoot, and provide technical support.
• Stay updated on industry trends to improve design processes.

  Qualifications:
  
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of controls design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of PLC and HMI design.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
